Just discovered a note you sent in 2010! I did not mean to be rude and ignore you. I just never saw the note. Often wish I were closer to Berkeley. I would definitelh attend your cafe philosophique. But life has decided otherwise.... Hope you are well and still having fun with thoughts.
How does one post to the "items of interest for philosophers?" I do not use social media and sooo ignorant of this stuff...

Hi Jeff-Thanks for the information-
I'll check it out-
Kathy
That sounds great! Thanks for the info!
Hey Jeff, Had to move the Philosophical Reading Meetup to February 2 since I forgot about Super Bowl plans on Feb 3, but it is Feb 2, not January! Hope to see you again soon, if not at this one then perhaps at either my or your next meeting.
Hi Jeff! Welcome! Thank you for joining our humble spirited community of Illogicians. Illogicians tend to be light hearted and compelled to ponder the nature and structure of reality. And more. Illogicians are also especially interested in unpopular philosophies that threaten positive social and intrapsychic change. Bergson's view of Time in The Creative Mind is one example and the focus of our first text investigation. I to see you at our next meeting. Somewhat logically, Pamela
I not only admit it, I'm a little amused by the idea. : )
I will miss your good company though. : (
I think the term you mean is "Aporetic Ethics", most prominently developed by Jacques Derrida. Here, "aporetic" is an adjective derived from "aporia".
Still trying to figure out the best way to exchange Meet-up messages. Anyway, SF Debate is every other Tuesday - but it's common for the actual debate topic not to be posted until a week before. (I already knew about it before because I agreed to be a speaker...)
Hi Jeff - thanks for the tip on Kelly McGonigal's Willpower book - I just bought it. Unfortunately I won't be able to go the the 4/3 Cafe (Meetup conflict). Hope it's lively and enlightening.
