Although my schedule isn't set for Jan/February, I know some folks like to read ahead, so wanted to get the books out there so folks can do some planning. From the feedback at our meetings, the first two may be refreshers for some, but got pretty good responses. Log on to the blogspot for synopses http://20sand30sbookclubcambridge.blogspot.com/
The hefty book we'll be tackling for January will be Infinite Jest by David Foster Wallace
. This is a thick one and we'll have at least 4, maybe 5 weeks to get this one in.
February's first book will be The Road by Cormac McCarthy
, and, as a selfish birthday present to myself (although I didn't even suggest this one!), it'll be followed by the In the Heart of the Sea:The Tragedy of the Whaleship Essex By Nathaniel Philbrick.
. That's also for all those cries for non-fiction we've been hearing:-)
We may not fit them both into February, but March'll do:-)
After that, we're back to the drawing board/polls/suggestions:-)
Keep readin' and enjoy!
