Discussion of "St. Lucy's Home for Girls Raised by Wolves"

To close out our Odd Duck Summer, let's meet in August to discuss Karen Russell's debut collection of stories, St. Lucy's Home for Girls Raised by Wolves.

Set amid the Florida Everglades, these are modern fables and miniature gothic stories full of sly, macabre, and joyful language and detail. Russell, who went on to write the very well received Swamplandia!, was named one of New York magazine's "25 under 25" authors to watch for this stunning little collection of oddments. In these stories, a girl sails away on a clamshell, werewolves' daughters are oriented to polite society by nuns, and alligators are, of course, wrestled. Find out more here

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
