If you live anywhere in or around New Castle County and you've been looking for a friendly and casual book club, we're the group for you! Join us for thoughtful discussions of contemporary fiction and non-fiction, or enjoy our periodic classics meetups, movie nights, or author talks. You just might discover your new favorite book right here.
Or, you might hate everything you read and be the perfect devil's advocate. Either way, come check us out! Before joining, you might find it useful to read our FAQs for more info on our book choices and procedures.
We read a broad, eclectic selection of books. We rarely read anything brand new for practical rather than aesthetic reasons, as many of our members prefer to use the library or read paperbacks. Our book choices are cool, quality literature--they've just been given a little more time to simmer. Please know, though, that if you absolutely must read only the newest releases, this group will be several months behind you.
To see a list of our choices from August 2007 through January 2011, go here. For choices from February 2011 to October 2012, go here. To see our list from November 2012 to June 2014, go here. For the books we've read from July 2014 on, go here. Visit here for a list of the classics we've chosen since April 2012. We are working on a goodreads shelf to streamline these lists.
Thank you for checking us out! Feel free to email our organizers with any questions you may have.
Note: This group is not open to solicitors. Please join only in the hopes of discussing books and meeting with other book lovers. If you are an author or publisher, please contact our organizers about any books you are promoting.
