I tried a long time ago, when I was in my mid-twenties, to read Gone With the Wind, but somehow stopped midway. Since I moved down to Atlanta, I have been interested in revisiting it. I love the movie, and know I would enjoy the book, even though it is slightly different than the screenplay.
I have recently moved from Philadelphia, PA, to Atlanta area (Decatur), GA. I thoroughly enjoy reading, but have never belonged to a book club. I think I would enjoy this one, especially since it is veg-friendly.
I had a fabulous time. The people who were part of the group were all very friendly and good conversationalists. I would say the only complaint or suggestion I would make is this: for as much as I loved the restaurant Top Spice, I can't help but feel it was a difficult place to hold a whole group led discussion on the story whether it was because of the table layout which seemed to force the group into two halves, the atmosphere lent itself more to dining ambience over discussion, or the acoustics made it difficult to hear others further away. Nonetheless, I had a fabulous time. It was great to read a new book, eat a nice vegetarian meal with others, and meet friendly and book-a-philiac people (for lack of a better word at this moment).
