What to read next

Hi folks,

I'd like to create a new poll to decide what books we will read for August, September and beyond. (The July selection has been determined.)

We have recently had a streak of heavy/intense/violent books (What is the What; Suite Francaise; Cry, the Beloved Country). I think some of us could really use a lighter read!

So, please send me your suggestions for life-affirming/funny/pleasurable/light books. Hopefully we can come up with some that also have some depth or wit. I'll create the poll early next week.

Thanks for your suggestions,
