I've read many of the classics, but I am slowly working my way through some of the lesser known novels of the great writers...
In no particular order: The House of Mirth, Edith Wharton; Middlemarch, George Eliot; Bleak House, Dickens; Brothers Karamazov, Dostoevsky; The Sun also Rises, Hemingway; East of Eden, Steinbeck; Catcher in the Rye, Salinger, anything by Iris Murdoch
Just finished Daniel Deronda by George Eliot
I am a life long reader with a deep love of literature. I teach high school English, and while I love it, it does get stale after a while. I miss impassioned, intellectual discussions about good literature from people who have actually read the book.
