We have a strong membership number and are close to the maximum allowed for the group. We definitely want to add new members. However there is a waiting list right now. Please send your "join" request and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
We are a group of remarkable, curious, and diverse women who enjoy having a good time while sharing our thoughts on the book and the life experiences that feed into our interpretation of the book. We meet on the second Friday of every month for the book discussion at 7:00pm. We occasionally have additional meetups for movies, potlucks, holiday celebrations, etc.
The books are just as diverse as our members and are pulled from all over the library. Each month has an assigned theme. Members suggest books related to the theme on the webpage, up to a few days before the group vote. We read through the list and eliminate any that have already been read by the book club or are not available at any of the local libraries. The final list of suggested books is brought to the book club meeting for a group vote. Only women who attend the meetup get a chance to vote. An idea for a month theme is welcome at any time.
Typically, we discuss the book for about 45 minutes with each person getting a chance to share in the discussion. After the discussion feel free to hang out and talk with other group members.
If you have read the book and aren’t able to attend the meetup feel free to post your thoughts on the page. Please also feel free to attend even if you've haven't finished the book, your input is welcome and you will get to vote on the upcoming books.
