I started reading/studying the law of attraction by reading a few books that turned into many books, (Change your thoughts, Change your life, The Law of Attraction, Science of Mind, Change anything in 21 days, The Secret, You can Heal your Life, East
Years ago, I began reading many books my Ernest Holmes and tried to apply these priciples to my daily life. However, recently I began listening to Wayne Dyer's CD's, reading his books, in particular "change your thoughts, change your life". His book and CD's are amazing! I am loving the teaching of Lao Tzu (Tao Te Ching). Louise Hay is also an excellent author on the Law of Attraction/Heal your Life.
I just started attending a new thought church in my area that promotes these philosophies.
The main technique that I find the most helpful for me, is that my thoughts produce my feelings, yet even more important the way I am feeling is based upon my thoughts. This allows me to keep my thoughts in check when I find myself not feeling as well as I could emotionally or otherwise. Then centering myself into thinking of some positive experience I had and bringing those joyous feelings back into my thoughts and feelings. Also, the gratitude rock... what an excellent concept.
Yes. I found the book to be better. (Seems that's usually how it is)
I fell in love with 3 chapters of the book, and I will say it is an inspirational book and that I read those 3 chapters and apply the principles daily. However, as I continued my reading.... I honestly felt that it was a bit materialized and I don't totally agree that groups of people can attract catostrophic events by emitting the same frequency. Perhaps my feelings will change as I reread the book. But, other then that. I think it's an excellent read. I look forward to reading other Law of Attraction books! I think the principals of Ernest Holmes, the book "The Law Of Attraction", Louise Hay and ANYTHING written by Dr. Wayne Dyer are the most helpful, to me, in truly understanding the "law of attraction".....
I am so thrilled there is a group dedicated to the "Law of Attraction"........... "The Secret" is hands down the best book I have ever read and has made such a positive impact on my life and relationships with friends and family. Thanks Booklady for starting such a wonderful meet-up group! I look forward to meeting like-minded individuals and making new friends.
