Just moved here after many years in Atlanta. Love to stretch myself physically, mentally, spiritually, etc., etc. Love book clubs, wine clubs, dating, dining, hiking, biking, camping, exploring, singing and playing original songs.
You never run out of material. If you start to repeat yourself, people think you're doing an encore. Seriously, with age comes skill. It's easier to make things happen.
I am the youngest of three siblings; so I will always be the youngest. I volunteer, rather than retire; so I hang out with idealistic young people, and I remain idealistic myself. My grown kids enhance my artistic appreciation. The new Goodie Mob is a must have. My generation initiated and carried out the greatest causes. I was right there, and see no reason to stop.
Walk barefoot on Mother Earth, skinny-dip in mountain streams, canoe, kayak, sit around a campfire and sing and howl at the full moon, sleep with my two adorable dogs, hang out with my adorable kids and grandkids, read, re-read the classics, play guitar, write poetry and songs, join just causes, have my say, encourage others, make new friends and keep the old.
Very friendly, welcoming group!
I moved here in October from St. Louis. My kids live here, and I am spending quality time with my granddaughter. I was looking forward to going to Steiner Ranch tonight. Bummer that it was canceled. The Oasis was a lot of fun Friday night. I haven't been there, and loved the location and dancing. I enjoy meeting new people and being active. Zumba is my favorite exercise. I am still exploring Austin. Great city. Enjoy Austin!
