I like running. Dun dun duuun. I do it all the time. When I'm not working at Born To Run, or talking about running, I'm usually running. Long distance is my fav, and I'm hoping to go to the marathon Olympic Trials in 2016. I also like eating, too.
Always learning! The Luna Sandals are my favorite shoe! I also love going in the nude (my birthday shoes, I mean) once in a while to supplement my training.
Trail, for sure. But I race on the roads... thus, that is where you will mostly be finding me! But when I want dessert, I'll be off in the hills discovering alpine lakes! Weee!
Not sure. I'm usually doing about 65-70 a week. My longest (all at once), being a 50k.
Anja, you and Amy (?) are fantastic! Great motivators and high energy people and I really appreciate the help in losing my ultra puff tennies for a five finger cover on my foot. I loved the run even though just a mile and my calves are burning. This is good news as muscle can be strengthened. It's the first run I've ever done where I had no sense of impact on my knees, tendons, ligaments etc. Hope to run with you again as soon as I can walk! I think you've changed my life. Cheers, Gerrit.
Thanks for the welcome message, hopefully one of these days I can talk make it to a run.
Thanks Anja! I'm a bit of a running hiatus right now. I've been having uncontrolled Blood Pressure problems due to a medication that is in my system (I am no longer taking) . So, it is iffy when I can run.
But, I've been doing short runs in my walks, when I know my diastolic is down. LOL Anyway, I look forward on learning and getting out there with you all. Thanks!
Thanks Anja! I am fairly new to the area; I moved from Oak Harbor about 5 months ago and I am looking forward to some group runs. I will be out Wed night, so if your going I will see you then!
