Come One - Come All!

We'll be creating sacred space and sharing in the energies of our connection. Whether you are an experienced drummer or just starting out, there is space for you in our circle. And what would a circle be without dancers? So come and join us for this joyous celebration of life. - Bring your drums, rattles, Native American flutes, digeridoos, etc. We will open up the room and get it rocking with the rhythms. There will be space made for both heart-pounding beats and softer rhythms with room for voices and instruments. Suggested donation of $5 to cover the costs of maintaining this Meetup group, and the costs of electricity and heat for the church. If you have instruments to share, please bring them! url=http://www.maldenuua.org/]The First Parish in Malden[/url], a Unitarian Universalist congregation, is located three blocks west of the Malden Center T station at 2 Elm Street (intersection with Pleasant Street), just off Route 60. Convenient, free parking is available between the church and the Beebe Elementary School. Visit MaldenUUA.org for directions and map. We run this event once each month on the third Sunday of the month. I look forward to seeing you all there!</p>

Tom, I was just invited to this via Facebook. They are doing a walk from Forest Hills beforehand. You sure this is cancelled. Either way I can't make it but just thought others would be interested.

The walk may still be going on but the drumming part at Copley has definitely been cancelled. I would check the Climate Revival website, http://www.macucc.org...

    Hi all,

Here's a drumming opportunity on Saturday, April 27, Copley Square, 2-4 pm for Climate Revival. The organizer is Malcolm Bliss at [masked], see his note below. There will be a core of drummers, plus we'll hand out home made hand percussion (sticks and things to hit, medicine bottle shakers) so people can play along. Should be fun! There won't be any set pieces, just a variety of rhythms with people paying attention so we build and maintain a groove and at the signal stop together on the downbeat after a count of four.
    best,

    Tom Clark[masked]

    The note from Malcolm:

    All,

The Climate Revival event is almost upon us, see http://www.macucc.org/events/detail/1104 On Saturday, April 27, we plan to meet at Copley Square at 2:00, and begin drumming shortly thereafter, and continuing drumming up to 4:00, pausing for speakers and bands at the rally at Copley Square from 3:00 to 4:00.

Please, if anyone has a decent drum to spare....again, have nothing home from work with me. I'd appreciate borrowing.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
