Announcing a new Meetup for Boston Inline Skating and Blading!

What: Frog Pond Ice Skating & Chinese Food

When: January 28,[masked]:30 PM

Meetup Description: Let's go ice skating again on the Frog Pond. They may even still have the lights up on the trees which will make for a pretty scene. Admission is $4.00 and skate rental is $8.00 so I would suggest bringing your own ice skates. Afterwards we'll go for Chinese food at Chau Chow City on Essex Street.

FYI the Frog Pond isn't actually a pond for those of you who don't know. It's just an outdoor rink that's frozen from underneath. I know some people don't skate on ponds for fear of ruining their blades.

This location is T accessible by Park Street on the red and green lines. If you are driving you can pay to park at the Boston Common Garage or drive around the Public Gardens no more than three times and you should get a metered spot. (I always get one there.) Just be aware if the meters go until 8:00 p.m. instead of 6:00 p.m. or if the parking turns residential after 6:00 p.m. even though there is a meter.

I'm giving the option to RSVP "yes" or "no". Please update your RSVP if your plans change. If the weather is too cold or there is a strong wind chill this event will be rescheduled. The next ice skating event I organize I'll hold it at a City of Boston rink so to save money.
