Dear Boston Israel Cleantech Alliance member:

Thank you to the 100+ people who attend our last event at HBS with Dr. Ory Zik, CEO of HelioFocus.

Please remember that our next event, on Thursday, February 26th, will feature serial entrepreneur Eytan Levy discussing "Water, Energy and Entrepreneurship: An Israeli Case Study". Mr. Levy is a Venture Partner at Israel Cleantech Ventures and Co-Founder and CEO of Emefcy, an Israel-based startup with a vision of fundamentally changing the energy economics of wastewater treatment. The systems developed by Emefcy produce electricity directly from the treatment of different types of wastewater.

Pizza and refreshments will be served prior to Mr. Levy's presentation. You can find more information and register for this event, which will take place at MIT Sloan in Cambridge, at http://www.meetup.com/boston-israel/calendar/9657295/

Thank you!

Best,
Jonathan

Water, Energy and Entrepreneurship: an Israeli Case Study

Details
Date: Thursday, February 26 (6:00PM)
Location: MIT Sloan School of Management, E52-175

This event will feature a presentation by Eytan Levy at MIT Sloan.

Mr. Levy is the Co-Founder and CEO of Emefcy, an Israel-based startup with a vision of fundamentally changing the energy economics of wastewater treatment. The systems developed by Emefcy produce electricity directly from the treatment of different types of wastewater. This conversion is made possible by use of microbial fuel cell (MFC) technology. Emefcy raised a first round of financing from Israel Cleantech Ventures in 2007.

Mr. Levy will share lessons learned from his experience as a serial cleantech entrepreneur. He will also discuss the process of taking a startup from idea stage to a successful international company.
