Warm Bodies 7:05PM Show

Sorry but I just can't resist.  This looks like a funny twist to the typical horror flick.   True love truly can conquer all...or can it?  What better way to celebrate Ground Hog Day....a silly holiday...than by seeing a silly movie?

Showtime is at 7:05.  I will be at the theater by 6 and we will head in for seats around 6:30.

In general, I arrive at the theater an hour before the show to start gathering people, and we head in for seats about 30 minutes before the show, so we can sit together. This also allows us to take turns getting snacks, etc., before the previews start.

Because the group usually sees movies opening weekend, it is a good idea to buy your tickets in advance, especially if there is a lot of buzz about the film.

If you miss the group ahead of time, come find us after. We gather in the hallway outside of the theater we just saw the movie in, to discuss the film a bit, allow for restroom breaks and to get a head count of all those who would like to go out after for drinks and munchies.

$$$$Managing the after event is much easier if everyone brings cash, so please plan ahead if you want to go out with the group after.$$$

Plot Summary: A funny new twist on a classic love story, "Warm Bodies" is a poignant tale about the power of human connection. After a zombie epidemic, R (a highly unusual zombie) encounters Julie (a human survivor), and rescues her from a zombie attack. Julie sees that R is different from the other zombies, and as the two form a special relationship in their struggle for survival, R becomes increasingly more human – setting off an exciting, romantic, and often comical chain of events that begins to transform the other zombies and maybe even the whole lifeless world.

Hey y'all, I won't be able to make it tonight. I bought my ticket already so I can forward the email confirmation to anyone that wants it.

I'm fine. The offending part was removed with no further complications. I got discharged this afternoon, and I'm home with my parents now for some R&R. I'm hopeful that I'll be able to do the next meet-up and see you all on Saturday.

Really surprised at how much I enjoyed "Warm Bodies." 4 *'s out of 5. Hanging out at "The Rockbottom" afterwards with the crowd was great, as usual. Thanks, again, for organizing, Doreen.

Silly and cute....Romeo and Juliet in a post apocalyptic world that includes zombies. Love of course is the cure...duh, why didn't the scientists think of that. I found a teenage zombie filled with teen angst a riot! Big boisterous group at the after event made it a great overall evening. Thanks for coming everyone!

I loved the idea of the movie being narrated from the zombie's point of view.

Hi. Seeing all these comments I decided to try this and I couldn't get it to work on my phone, but the desktop version worked and they still had tickets. So either use a computer of use the web browser on your phone to go to the full site...but in any case there seem to be seats still at 11:39AM Sat.

Okay, I just got my ticket too. The Fandango mobile app showed that the 7:05 was sold out but Fandango online works. See you there!

Hey everyone- I just purchased my ticket (amc website link to fandango) no problems. If you were having trouble last night, you might want to try to get a ticket again. See you tonight! Love me some zombies!

I got mine from Fandango at 3:45. It's 10:30 now and I just tested Fandango looks like you can still get tickets from there.

At 9:16pm Friday, it looks as though it is sold out (from the AMC Loews site), unless anyone has had luck within the past hour or so @ another site?

Isn't usually a female under a magic curse that needs true love's kiss to come alive again? Nice to see it can work both ways. :)
