We decided that at our last meeting that we will move on from Descartes to Baruch Spinoza. More exactly to Spinoza's Ethics. One of books where the Ethics can be found is: The Essential Spinoza - Ethics and Related Writings Edited by Michael L. Morgan Translated by Samuel Shirley (ISBN:[masked]) This 162 page work (162 pages in the edition above) seems to be a dense reading. We plan to cover it in 4 meetings (40 pages per meeting). Let's have the first book Concerning God for the first meeting (pages 1 through 29). For this first meeting on Spinoza the reading is a bit shorter so there should be opportunity to read about Spinoza himself. One of the helpful sources is the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy:

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
