Would anyone be interested in a group event to see Hannah Arendt?

On July 5 at Coolidge Corner Theater, the movie "Hannah Arendt" will begin showing. The movie is about the philosopher with the same name. It concerns the reception of her work about the Adolf Eichman trial. You can see a trailer and get more info here. http://www.coolidge.org/content/hannah-arendt Trailer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sOCZxcCbEp4&feature=player_embedded

Would meetings on Skype be easier than meetings in Cambridge?

For a period of time in the past we regularly met on Skype. It worked beyond our expectation, without technical difficulties, with a healthy self-moderation due to the format (dial in connection speed is enough). The question is if we were to resume meetings on skype (in addition to meetings in Cambridge), would you more likely to participate?

Are restaurants/bars proper for our meeting place?

Every once in a while 8-10 people are attending an event. Discussions are getting difficult or fragmented at a restaurant table (this latter may not be necessarily a bad thing). Some of us were wondering if couple of experiences like that are keeping members attending more events (most of the time 4-6 people attend any given event). This poll is to ask you if you think that it would be worthwhile to explore other options e.g. renting a room, a class room plus ordering pizza etc. (no concrete suggestions came up yet).

Which day of the week shall we meet?

Some poeple have problems meeting on Thursdays. Please indicate your preference between Wednesdays and Thursdays. (This is a very quick poll, it will be closed on Tuesday, January 9th so the next meeting can be held Wednesday or Thursday depending on this poll.)

Where shall we continue after Machiavelli?

After Machiavelli shall we continue with Francis Bacon, Rene Descartes and their contemporaries (but leaving Kant and Hegel for the very end), or with Arthur Schopenhauer, Friedrich Nietzsche and/or other 19th century philosophers?
