Bob Sweet Shares Navigation Tips with Pelagic Sailing Club on June 27th!

Sailors are the ultimate navigators. Not only do they need to arrive at a specific destination, they are likely not able to go there directly, and along the way, they need to avoid obstacles. Modern tools make navigation easier and more accurate if you know how to use them. Bob Sweet explains navigation tips and tricks in simple terms to make your task simpler and more enjoyable. You will get more from your navigation instruments and charts and get to spend more time on your other tasks at the helm and sails. Bob will get you up to speed and answer your navigation questions.

Bob’s book “The Weekend Navigator” is a companion for June 23rd meeting, is used by USPS, and the Coast Guard Auxiliary for their navigation courses.

Sweet is an author with over 10 books and guides to his credit on various marine topics from navigation to boat handling. He also has written and provided material for numerous magazine articles and provided extensive contributions for courseware used by the United States Power Squadrons and the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary. His books and guides are used by many boating organizations and instructors.
