Boating Medical Emergencies w/Jim Jackson at Pelagic Sailing Club Oct 25th!

Pelagic Meeting Oct 25th! Jim Jackson will walk us through Boating Medical Emergencies and how to handle them, especially when you can't call 911.
Jim will be going over float plans, first aid kits, how to call in a May Day, DSC, various emergencies and stabilizing your boat, when lightning strikes, preventing sunstroke, and the difference between sea sickness and co2 poisoning. Plus a lot more.
Jim is the owner of Maritime Consultants, teaching on water training in navigation and safety. Jim was also an instructor for Mass Maritime Academy working with 100 Ton Captains.
Pelagic Sailing Club meets at Savin Hill Yacht Club, Dorchester, MA, on the second floor at 6:30pm for social hour and pizza, 7:30pm for meeting, 8:00pm guest speaker.
