FREE Outdoor Salsa Group Class & Dance Party

Let's continue dancing for a great cause: SITP's Youth Leadership, Career, Health & Community Development Program for High School Students in Boston & Cambridge

www.salsainthepark.org

Last Monday, the rain was decided to make us work hard!

It ended up being so much fun! Even though it was pouring really hard on that side of town, lots of salsa dancers decided that water was not an issue, and that they were going out to dance.

Next week, the weather seems very promising, so we are going to give it another shot.

The rain definitely affected a little: we had to move indoors, the area was a little hot, and the dance floor space was tight at times.

However, the great energy was still there.

Let's make it happen again! We will meet at the Blackstone Community Center and celebrate Summer with FREE Group classes at 6pm, and then with the outdoor dance party through 9pm

Address:
50W Brookline St in Boston (South End)

Time:
FREE Group Class at 6pm
FREE Outdoor Social Dance Party through 9pm

If you want to support SITP Youth Program, simply come join us and buy a bottle of water or a healthy snack at the event. All proceeds go directly to support the program.

This week i will bring a larger Meetup sign so that you can all see it as soon as you get there.

And we will have all our percussion instruments for when you need a rest from dancing.

Hope to see you all there!

-Jay

Salsa In The Park was so much fun tonight!!!!

Mother Nature decided to bless us again with some more water tonight, but that did not stop hundreds of dancers and non-dancers who came to support and enjoy a wonderful night of indoor dancing! Plus, the PHUNK PHENOMENON URBAN DANCE THEATRE Kids were awesome with their salsa dance routine. Dj Hernan's music was awesome as usual; the wonderful group of volunteers who stepped to the plate and helped to make it happen, and the musicians who came to play and jam with us at the music corner. Next week we will try it one more time. We hope it will be nice, sunny and warm outside. (Three is the lucky number :-)

Unfortunately I wasn't able to make it as planned. Hopefully the third time will be the charm for me as well :)

The class is a beginner class for those who may have never danced salsa before. The class is open to all ages. Hope you can make it!

You gotta check it out, Bee! Outdoor salsa dancing in the summer weather and with so many friendly and talented dancers is priceless. It rained last week, so we had to go indoors, but it was awesome regardless. Hopefully it will be warm and sunny tomorrow (fingers crossed :)

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
