Star Trek: The Next Generation - The Best of Both Worlds

SECOND SCREEN SOLD OUT! Both screens are now sold out. If anyone has an extra ticket, or cannot attend, let us know in the comments below.

Let's meetup to see this intense, two hour big-screen presentation of this pivotal TNG storyline. In other words, it is going to rock!

Showtime is a little earlier than usual, 7PM, so we'll be meeting around 6:15PM in the lobby by the top of the stairs. I'll still be stopping by the Boston Beer Works beforehand for those who would like to join me.

The Best of Both Worlds – the two-part storyline comprising the third season finale and the fourth season premiere of the beloved series Star Trek: The Next Generation®- will, for the first time ever, be seamlessly tied together as one continuous and uninterrupted story digitally restored with new CGI effects… on the big screen! Audiences will also see special clips from “Regeneration: Engaging the Borg”, a behind-the-scenes look at the making of The Best of Both Worlds.

Don't get sold out! Buy your tickets soon. You know this will be popular.

Seeing BOBW on the big screen was pretty awesome.

Had a great time watching TNG on the big screen with fun people! Thanks for organizing.

Thank you for a fantastic night. Especially enjoyed the encore discussion afterwards. Here's to many more TNG screening events (okay three or four but the sentiment is the same)

Agreed. The discussions were rather strange and fun. I learned that Sisko was the Bajoran Jesus.

    Is anyone else in 8?

    April 25, 2013

Theater 11 rules and 8 drools

    We're in the back rows

    April 25, 2013

At the Beer Works in the back corner.

Couldn't get a ticket in time. Oh, cruel irony! (the irony being that I, myself am the best of both worlds, and now...)

I wanted to give everyone the heads-up that the Red Sox are playing Thursday, which means the Fenway area will be a madhouse. Give yourselves plenty of time to get to the theater.

Anyone still want to get pre-movie drinks and food with me? Wherever we go in the area will be crazy, but I could get to the Boston Beer Works before 5 to secure a table. (Maybe!) There's also a Longhorns Steak House in the same building as the theater. Both options are exactly the kind of place a Sox fan would flock to.

If I don't hear any different my default will be the Beer Works because beer.

I might be interested in grabbing some food before hand, depending on how early I can get there. Sounds like you all are going to the Beer Works? How should I find you all?

      Leslie-
. Post comments on the meetup page when you get there. Someone will probably see that.

I'll be there early, probably standing by the front, if that helps.

I'm sure it will be easier than all this typing warrants

I'm going to experiment and try approaching the theater from MFA which is on the one green line that doesn't service Kenmore (E-Line) and therefore /hopefully/ will have less people...

So 5ish at beer works for a pre-meet?

    April 25, 2013

  • Will S.

Anybody know the fastest bus from the Kendall/MIT area to the Kenmore/Fenway area? That seems like a better bet than the T on a Sox home game day.

Joseph A. is a king, and I'm coming to TNG tonight! ^_^

    I want that ticket!

I missed my chance to buy a ticket. If anyone has one and can't use it for some reason, please let me buy it from you!

    April 22, 2013

    • Joseph A.

It you are still looking for a ticket last minute, I have failed to fight off a cold for the last week and will no longer be able to utilize my own.

    "All good things..."

I'm hoping "Redemption" and "Descent" get the big screen treatment.

Has this been edited into one continuous episode or is it remaining as two parts?

    April 23, 2013

    • Jerry

Reading the description I think they will be one episode. I imagine all they'll do is remove the extra credit sequences, but it will be interesting to see if there are any other changes.

      April 23, 2013

    • Kevin

I need to read more often. I'm curious how they'll be edited together at that "To Be Continued..." moment if they're tied together that way.

      April 23, 2013

  • Cheryl

I'll be at Book of Mormon that night.

This will be my first time. Sounds like it will be a blast

Just bought my ticket. I've missed the last two blu-ray release theater showings so this is going to be so awesome.

This would be in the Theatre District near the Boston Common?

Regal by Fenway park. If that means the same thing, carry on.

      March 31, 2013

    • Maria

Matthew, It's not the Loews in Boston Common (that's the one in the Theater District). Like Jason said, this on is Regal Cinemas in the Fenway (Brookline Ave). The closest T stops are Fenway and Kenmore.

Going to the showing in Revere

    March 29, 2013

  • Joseph A.

WOOT!!!!! I contacted the venue, and they've opened up another theater! The annoying thing is that the tickets will identify the theater that the movie is in, so I cannot sit with everybody who prepaid, but I will try to grab a bite before hand and would be down for drinks afterwards :)

    1 · March 23, 2013

  • Joseph A.

Shoot, I went to get my ticket and it was sold out...did anyone happen to pick up a backup?

    March 17, 2013

    • Jerry

Check with the theater to see if, and to suggest that, they will add a second screen. They did that once for RiffTrax.

      March 17, 2013

    • Joseph A.

      I called the theater, and they said it was up for review with fathomevents. However, they won't know if it is in play until next week -_-;;;

  • SimonGodOfHairdos

Is this the new blu-ray version?

    February 19, 2013

      Yes.

Funny I don't remember the tickets being 13.75. Was prepared to pay more because it's Fathom. Oh well I'll take it!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
