UPDATE: This will be a midnight movie! Showtime is 11:59PM Friday evening. Please note that this means the movie, which is 1hr 45mins, will let out after the MBTA shuts down.

Let's meetup to see this gory shock-fest from the directors of The Raid, Hobo with a Shotgun, You're Next, and The Blair Witch Project. Keep your exceptions low and your blood alcohol level high and this should be a lot of fun! Just like The Blair Witch Project and Cloverfield, everything is done via first person "camera" perspective. So... if you don't like those kinds of movies....

The official site with trailers you must be over 17 to view.

Not something I would have appreciated so much in the daylight hours, but for a midnight movie in a mostly empty cinema, I think it did the job. Apparently I'm a big horror movie wuss, so quite relieved at the low levels of tension, although I could have done with a few less scenes of 'hand very very slowly approaches door/sheet to see what's on the other side/underneath'.

Wow. There certainly were some over the top scenes, and some nice mix of humor, but mostly it was incomprehensible, which robbed it of true fright. I wasn't on the edge of my seat as much as I had hoped to be. But getting to snicker along with James at some of the more ludicrous bits was worth it.

So I'm not super familiar with the Coolidge Corner area and what would be a good place to meet beforehand for a drink and maybe late snack, so if anyone has a suggestion please let me know and let's do that! Maybe 10:30 or 11-ish?

Otherwise whoever is joining me, I'll be by the entrance around 11:30 or so with the Meetup sign and a Red Bull.

If anyone is interested, I'll be going to the Regal Beagle sometime around 10:45 (depending on parking). Just for a drink and maybe an appetizer. 308 Harvard St just a few doors from the theater. http://www.thebeagleb... If you need my mobile number PM me.

This looks like a whole world of shenanigans. Should I buy a ticket in advance do you think?

I've changed the start time for this meetup. This will be a midnight movie. That means it will let out after the T shuts down, but it also means we will have plenty of time to grab some drinks beforehand.
