Outdoors Movie Night: Twilight: Breaking Dawn (Part 1)

The blood-sucking creatures come out in the summertime...

Put on some bug spray and/or garlic, and partake in the SomerMovie Fest picnic/party scene: catch "Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part I" outdoors by the banks of the Mystic River this Thursday night! Movie starts at dusk, which will likely be ~8:45 (sunset's at 8:15). I propose gathering about an hour ahead of time to claim our turf, then nosh and chat till the show starts (bring a beach chair or blanket and whatever refreshments you might desire). Not sure where on the premises to say to meet, but will bring my mobile device to aid on-the-spot coordination.

The Boathouse is just a little over a mile out of Sullivan Square T station. If you loathe walking that far, a 95 bus departing from the T at 7:30 or 8:30 should get you to the movie in time (with or without time to spare for socializing).

Ha ha ... I guess it's on me to rate this! We had fun. Beautiful night for an outdoor movie. The movie itself? Hurm. But I enjoyed myself. Had a charming hostess, too.

Hey, Cheryl, can you post or email me your number in case it's not obvious where you are? I've never been down there before. Thanks!

Works for me ... I think I'll be driving in, so I hope I can find parking nearby. I like to wend, by the way!

As it stands, the plan is to show up at the Blessing of the Bay Boathouse around 7:45. I am not sure where on the property they have their screen set up, but propose that we meet near the boat ramp, then wend over to a suitable seating spot when we're all assembled. I'll be monitoring these comments in case anyone encounters any hindrances along the way!

CHeryl, I heart you :) I refused to pay for this one, but this seems like the perfect venue to see it!

Haven't seen the first two, but figure it'll be fairly easy to follow along anyway...
