TC-39 Panel

TC-39 at ECMA (the group that ultimately decides on changes to the JavaScript language) is having their fall meeting at Bocoup this year. While they are here, Allen Wirfs-Brock, Douglas Crockford and Brendan Eich of TC-39 have agreed to participate in a panel discussion moderated by Rick Waldron, also of TC-39.

After introductions and a brief discussion of the panelists' work on ECMAScript, Rick will take questions from the audience.

RSVP now and submit your questions before or during the event using the Google moderator for the event.

Thanks to all of you who attended and donated, we raised over $1,000 last night for laptops to be used by students at Bocoup's fall classes from the Science Club For Girls.

$12,000 get's us through the first class this fall, $60,000 get's us through 5 classes of students in the spring.

You can still donate ($40 from each of you would hit our goal): http://www.crowdrise.com/bocoup-scfg-laptop-challenge

Organizers: Not all your members know what TC-39 [sic] is. (TC39 is "the ECMA technical committee which is chartered to evolve the JavaScript language".) IMHO, would be nice to have a short explanation in the event description, for the benefit of your less-experienced members.

You are correct; apparently the phrase I quoted from here http://ajaxian.com/ar... was incorrectly capitalized.
