Are you looking for that breakout opportunity? Do you enjoy building high performance, disruptive solutions? Are you eager to work as part of a high performance team using the latest in Open Source technologies? If this sounds like you then please read on.

Step forward 18 months …

The new release of our analytic software for equity portfolio managers has just earned an award from Bloomberg News as the “Best advancement in investment technology in a decade.” All of us at Cabot Research want to thank you for helping make our goal a reality. We thought we needed someone with a B.S. in Computer Science from a top university, over four years of experience writing clean and highly functional code, and an excellent facility with Single Page Web App Development and Data Driven Documents to help bring our innovative, cloud-based analytic software to market. You brought that and much more – it was your energy, creativity, problem solving skills, sense of esthetic and ability to write clear and efficient code quickly that really made the difference. And you accomplished it with an unparalleled blend of team work and individual contributions.

Now, back to the present …

Cabot Research LLC is the world’s leader in assisting equity portfolio managers in learning how to improve. We do it through a combination of rigorous analytics, web-based software and superior client experience. We’re now well into rebuilding our entire cloud-based environment to catapult our patented analytics into a world class, market-changing application. What we need now to round out our team is a highly talented and results-oriented individual to help accelerate the delivery of the next version of our world class software.

Here is what you will be expected to accomplish in your first year:

Initial 30 days

• Secure and demonstrate a working knowledge of our development environment
• Review core analytic code, individually and with team members, and become familiar with the output and its uses

Months 2 – 6

• Establish initial version Single Page Application
• Maintain and advance Web App Deployment templates, Package Management, Unit Integration and Testing, and Version Control

Months 7 – 12

Contribute extensively toward the completion and initial deployment of the next version of Cabot’s software. This will involve quality assurance, testing, modifications and enhancements to new core front-end code and completion of all interfaces for the new product.

You will be part of a five-person, high performance team, working directly with the President and co-founder of Cabot. You will work in an agile environment while expected to resolve issues effectively and independently.

Specific skills and experience required include:

• Knowledge and experience with Java, JavaScript, AngularJS (or strong expertise in other frameworks), JQuery, JSON/ REST (Front end to Back end), HTML5, CSS, D3 and Highcharts JS
• Proven results writing clear, functioning, production-quality front-end code
