A Beginner's Guide to Irrational Behavior

  • March 25, 2013 · 7:00 PM

A bunch of us are going to take the free Coursera course "A Beginner's Guide to Irrational Behavior". And listen to the lectures in groups, or discuss the class in groups, or whatever clever thing someone comes up with. Worst come to worse we can have something concrete to discuss over breakfast.

So for this week at least, we are going to watch the video's on our own. I haven't worked out a place for us to watch this as a group, and if anyone wants to put together a place to do this I totally support it. I am also going to put together an event for us to discuss this weeks lecture.

why is there no location announced for this? Is the consensus that we are not actually going to watch the lectures together but are going to meet periodically for discussion? I was hoping we could view the lectures together.

I had already registered for Coursera's Beginner's Guide to Irrational Behavior; however I won't be able to attend the 3/25 meetup. Looking forward to a group discussion some other time.

I'm surprised by the level of growth I've seen since becoming an organizer, it's given me more confidence in my abilities.
