Atheist Alliance of America Convention - Boston

For fully up to date information visit

Come be a part of this year’s Atheist Alliance of America Convention. It will be a jam-packed 4 days of thoughtful, provocative, entertaining and enriching content. Friday will feature a welcome reception and world-class speakers. Both Saturday and Sunday are packed with more fantastic speakers, listed below. Monday, will be fun for the whole family as we go on a motorcoach/walking tour of Minuteman park and will include a picnic lunch.

The Keynote Speaker will be Paula S. Apsell - Senior Executive Producer of NOVA and NOVA Science Now and Director of the WGBH Science Unit. This year’s recipient of the Richard Dawkins Award will be Steven Pinker - Renowned scientist, esteemed researcher and noted author. The master of ceremonies for the convention will be Seth Andrews, host of The Thinking Atheist YouTube Channel and podcast. Rebecca Vitsmun and her family will also be our special guest. You may remember Rebecca from the now infamous Wolf Blitzer interview: Other speakers include AronRa, Ed Buckner, Rebecca Hale, Maryam Namazie, David Niose, Edwina Rogers, the music of Shelley Segal, Dr. Andy Thomson, CJ Werleman, Johnny Monsaratt, Gregory S. Paul, Guillermo Paz-y-Mino-C, Ellery Schempp, Ayanna Watson, Neil Wehneman, LaDonna York, and "Brother" Richard Haynes.

Atheist Alliance is offering an additional 10% discount to members of New England groups. That is in addition to the normal 15% Early Bird Discount. Both offers expire at 11:00 PM August 18th.
In order to get the 10% discount, add the letters "LG" after your street address in the registration form. You will be charged the regular price, but the 10% will be credited back to your card within 10 days. (Our ticketing service does not have the ability to handle the extra 10%... we have to do it ourselves.) The discounted hotel rate of $99.00 will also end Sunday at 5PM. The 3rd night free offer will expire at this time as well. Sign up now and secure your discount. Just over 48 hours remaining. Time is running out!

Please let me know if there's any free sessions in the convention. I live nearby and would like to check out some info. Thanks!

There are no sessions simply open to the public; but you can always volunteer and then have your pick of sessions to attend for free...

Before I book a nonrefundable room, just wondering if anyone has been to this before and how it was?

It's worth it if it's anything like the AHA convention was in Boston. For me it's based on networking and meeting and hearing a slightly different perspective than the AHA. If you're already local it might be worth driving in. I am, rather than getting a room.

Is this group going to meet at a specific time/place as part of this event?

No plans to do so as yet, but since I will be myself either at the book table or at the SCMA table, we can treat those as a rally point for people to meet up.
