I've seen him around. As a general rule, as long as circumstances 1 and 2 both exist
(as they seem to with this individual) and seem to be entrenched and immovable, I'm not inclined
to engage. It is the insincere derangement so often seen amongst political talking heads that I feel my efforts are better focused on...
I had an encounter of note once with a door-knocker for Greenpeace, which wasn't of a religious
nature, but I feel showed an equal amount of non-critical thinking. I was early-twenties-ish, so of an age with the knocker. I patiently explained that his organization and I disagreed on matters involving nuclear energy, and therefore I would not be donating to his cause. He looked at me in
amazement and said "You mean bombs?!?"
Sometimes you just know you're going to come out ahead by not even getting into the conversation...I would call this a case of sincere ignorance, however. I made some suggestions
about some topics he should look into. Unfortunately I'm not sure any of my recommendations stuck...
