I think that we should all sign on to a letter that points out the flaw in his ethics.

Just received an email appeal from Senator Sherrod Brown, D Ohio, asking me to sign a letter to the Boy Scouts of America condemning their discrimination against gay scouts and scout leaders.
Did it occur to Senator Brown that atheist youth are also discriminated against by BSA policy?

Sign the Letter to the Boy Scouts
To the Boy Scouts of America:
For over 100 years, Scouting has helped shape the lives of millions of American youth, producing leaders who strengthen our communities, embody important moral values like honesty and service, and set examples for others at every turn. Scouting has long been one of our great and cherished cultural institutions.
Today, the Boy Scouts of America has a policy that excludes gay Scouts and Scout leaders from participating. This is a tragedy, and not just for those excluded. It hurts non-gay Scouts whose parents are excluded, and it hurts all Scouts by teaching our youth that discrimination is okay.
If Scouting is to remain relevant in America at a time when its core values of leadership, integrity and service are so needed in our communities, it must lift its ban on gay youth and parents and implement a full non-discrimination policy.
By signing this letter, we celebrate Scouting’s important role in our national life, applaud you for considering this policy, and encourage you to adopt inclusive membership and leadership policies at the May 23rd vote of your National Council. Do your good turn.
Yours in Scouting,

Senator Sherrod Brown
