I've been a Boston By Foot guide for 15 years and don't know of a better history/architecture touring group in the world!!
I'm an Air Force brat - so I am not technically from anywhere. Have lived in Boston for 20 years - so I guess this is home!
Tough - only one? I guess I must go with the Boston Public Library (McKim building). But love Trinity Church, Hancock Tower, Ames Building, New Old South, Quincy Market.....
Maybe something in Rozzie???
Boston By Foot shows you the hidden nooks and crannies of Boston but also points out that stuff you've walked by a million times and never noticed -- these tours are revelatory!
Thank you for joining bostontourguide.org's meetup group! We are actively soliciting contributors for the website and encourage you to participate in our forum. So take a look and stay tuned for the announcement of our first gathering in January.
Great to virtually meet you, Gretchen! I gotta say, I love Boston By Foot. You give tours which have the depth of information I have been looking for. Ha! I have no clue whether or not to schedule events with your group or just point members to your site. I am not sure I can make the Ashmont Tour, but definately am looking forward to the Big Foot tour, that is 5 hours long. I wanna see EVERYTHING. ;)
