Pleasanton, California but I have been living in Massachusetts since 2001. I became a Boston By Foot guide in April 2004.
For some reason I love the newly renovated Charles Street Jail/Liberty Hotel. Maybe because I live down the street from it. Another favorite of mine is Old City Hall. I love talking about historical preservation and how we have to find modern day uses for historical buildings - not all buildings can be museums. And finally, the Genzyme building in Kendall Square is pretty cool. I used to work next door to it and watched as it was being built. I guess the building is in Cambridge and not Boston...
reuse of some of the Big Foot tour material - maybe a tour on Boston between WWI and WWII (covers events like the Molasses Flood, 1919 Police Strike, Calvin Coolidge, Sacco & Vanzetti, Prohibition, Women's Suffrage, Great Depression, etc.
I am a BBF Guide and Co-chair of the committee for the annual Big Foot/Labor Day Tour
It's a great way to explore neighborhoods.
