I like to know what the data says. Visualization is often the most effective way to learn from data. What's more visualization is currently benefiting from a variety of new tools. I don't want to miss out on the fun.
d3.js looks like an amazing tool set for adaptive graphical layout and a lot of other nice dynamic stuff. I've done a little with d3, but nothing even close to the examples of cool stuff on the web. So, I'd say that that project has inspired me to make a greater effort to create cool data presentations, even if they don't use d3.
