MetroWest Meet-up

  • Needs a date

  • Needs a location

  • I live in Marlborough, MA and would love to organize something for those of us out in the MetroWest area. Any takers? A first-step could be a meet & greet over a glass of wine or coffee?

Please comment below if you are interested in a meetup in Ashland (evenings), and if you would like to be added to my newsletter, currently under development, for and about Metrowest Artisans and the creative/creator economy.

Greetings! There hasn't been much activity on here but I'm hoping you're still interested in connecting. I have a potential venue here in Ashland for gatherings. It's in my "new" office which I'm just moving into. Right now it's a bit in need of decorating and cleaning out (i share the space with a friend's medical consulting company) but it's got plenty of room, lots of tables, free parking, no rules about wine :) and I'm just ramping up the Metrowest Artisan community. Perhaps it's perfect timing?

I live in northborough. The library is great about groups booking meetings. Also, craftworks on rtf 20/main st. Is a possibility

I am in Lancaster, I would love to get together more in the Marlborough area. Though I am willing to drive to Arlington as well. Wine is always wonderful!

I could see if we might be able to get the community room at one of the libraries in the area. Marlborough, Framingham, Sudbury, Hudson, Shrewsbury and Northborough are all good starts. Does anyone have a preference?

    Hi,
I'm Sarah and live in Sudbury. I've been mainly quilting but am interested in other crafts: paper, collage etc. Just don't have the time to get started so hoping for some inspiration and to learn something new. I can meet on weekend and evenings.

Who picks the date and location?

I'd drive it. More available in the mornings pretty much any day. I work 2nd shift but my schedule is pretty flexible. Keep me posted

I'm a lapsed New Englander, recently returned to Acton from a decade+ in rural MN/WI. Was an astronomer/teacher, now grantwriting and looking for local crafty friends to inspire me to finish some of the zillions of projects "in progress." Just finished my first mosaic-tile table top (finally!), have at least half a dozen quilts at various stages of incompleteness, backlog of hand-dyed quilting fabric, slight beading obsession, eyes open for a community ceramics studio, ... you get the idea. :) New to this meetup thing (hope I'm doing it right). Flexible availability, wine sounds fun. May be able to bring 1-2 additional crafty types in tow, depending on schedule (one has actual day job).

I'm game for a meet over coffee-preferaby daytime. I'm retired on disability, so I am available both week days and weekends. I'm just not keen on driving after dark, if I've never been there before.
I do needlepoint, currently working on projects to sell at a craft show. It would be fun to meet with other crafters on a regular basis to campare crafts and socialize.

I am an avid scrapper. I recently opened my own business (ballroom dance studio) in Newton & have space available to host an event. We have a huge room with lots of light and we can set up tables for a lot of people (easily 50). I would love to have a group of scrappers (or others) use my space. We're flexible on the days/times available. Saturday evenings are almost always available, as well as Sunday afternoons/evenings and some weekday mornings. Lilia Wood
