I have a little bit of a confused opinion of this show, honestly. The candid monologues from Penelope were interesting, but I also found the show to be repetitive, with weird musical numbers. But I will say that it's always good to be exposed to things that are different than mainstream theater, different than movies. And the discussion afterwards was PHENOMENAL, meeting each other and unpacking this show.

Hi there. I'm Cheryl and I'm "hosting" the Penelopiad event on February 28. This will be my second event with this Meetup group, both hosting and attending!
If you haven't already gotten your ticket, there is a link above to buy it at a discounted price through Goldstar. Seating is general admission. Let's meet by 7:15pm outside at the front entrance of the building. I'll be the one with a brown winter coat, rainbow fingerless gloves, and jeans. I'm Caucasian with long curly brown hair. My photo is up on my Meetup profile. Hopefully we can all get seats together.
I'll find someplace for us to go after the play to discuss, if people are interested. I look forward to meeting everyone!
