Nepal has one of the highest maternal mortality rates in the world – a woman dies every 4 hours of pregnancy-related causes.
The Nepali health NGO Nidan along with Empower Dalit Women of Nepal (EDWON) want to help change all that!
Join us on September 16th to learn about women’s rights and maternal health in Nepal. Respected doctors Aditi Giri and Prashant Khatiwada of Nidan are coming to Boston from Nepal to share insights from being on the ground.
Come learn more about this crucial issue, meet new friends, and enjoy Nepali cuisine!
Nidan is partnering with EDWON to offer Reproductive Health Workshops for 500 Nepali Dalit women. To learn more : http://www.globalgiving.org/projects/reproductive-health-for-dalit-women-in-nepal/

Empower Dalit Women of Nepal (EDWON): works with rural Dalit women who are repressed by caste and gender. Grassroots interventions enable women to build solidarity, claim their rights and act as change makers in their communities.
20% of the bill will be donated to EDWON at the end of the evening so we encourage you to eat at the venue, although it is not required!
