BARCC's 40th Anniversary Walk for Change

Join New Wave as we participate in the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center's 40th Anniversary Walk for Change. The BARCC walk's goals are to reduce the stigma of rape and sexual assault, let survivors and their families know they aren't alone, and raise money for BARCC's free 24-hour services.

Registration is required on the BARCC walk website. The registration fee is $30 for adults, $12 for youth under 12, and $5 for dogs (on a leash). The walk is 2.6 miles long and is completely wheelchair and stroller accessible. When you register, you have the option of selecting "New Wave - Young Boston Feminists" as your team.

Registration begins at 8:30 am and the walk kick-off starts at 9:30 am. Note that this is a new location from last year!

Since this is a new location, I'm not sure of a good place for us to meet! If you'd like to walk with the group, please post below (including if you have a suggestion on where to meet) or text me at[masked]-4730. I'll also try to post here where I'm at tomorrow morning. I'll aim to arrive by 9:20 and the walk kick-off speakers start at 9:30. Looking forward to it!
