Feminism is the social, cultural, and institutional ideology of gender equality. It examines how constructions of gender, social environment, relationship dynamics, institutions, language, social messages, laws, and patriarchal power structures establish women as a subjugated group. As a dynamic extension of this ideology, feminism is enacted as a movement for social change through consciousness-raising, activism, protest, legislation, and public discourse. Feminism is powerful, fun, affirming, sexy, inclusive, challenging, angry, joyful, and for everyone!

New to Cambridge! My bachelor's is in sociology and women's studies, and my master's is in rehabilitation counseling. I've lead a feminist campus group and volunteered for a sexual assault hotline. I'm ready to make more feminist connections!
