Dodgeball Benefit for Not-Me

From: Rayshauna
Sent on: Monday, September 20, 2010 5:33 PM
When: Saturday, October 16,[masked]:00 PM

Where: Dodgeball of Boston
1 Broadway
Arlington, MA 02474
[masked]

RSVP limit: 40 "Yes" and "Maybe" RSVPs

About Dodgeball:

The dodgeball games all take place in our air-conditioned arena on a specially designed floor wearing only socks [I guess you can wear clothes, too]. This floor allows for evading balls in a manner not possible on a hard surface. In addition, the arena is enclosed and smaller than the standard dodgeball court providing unequaled action. The majority of players will also be in the arena while the game is in progress adding to the level of excitement.

About Not-Me:

NOT-ME! IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION WITH A MISSION TO PROMOTE, ADVANCE, AND UNIFY SELF-DEFENSE EDUCATION AND TRAINING FOR AT-RISK POPULATIONS.

Our primary objective is to enable at-risk individuals survive violent attacks and deter aggressive confrontations. The majority of which are people in groups that are traditionally considered vulnerable or have been historically targeted for violence. These groups include but are not limited to people with physical disabilities, women, the elderly, the gay and lesbian population, and racial minorities.

Cost: $5 - 10, depending on what you want to give to the cause.

Note: The location is T accessible. You can take the 87 or 88 buses from Davis Square. The 87 will drop you off right in front of the building; the 88 will drop you drop about a block away.
