If you could meet one deceased jazz musician, who would it be and what would you ask him/her?

Dana Pelkie, and the question is: Why didn't you publish that song under your own name?

Are you a musician, and if so, what instrument do you play?

Piano. I'm an untrained dilettante. Pretty good for a middle aged white guy with a day job. But not good enough to make a living at it (but hey, even the good guys can't make a living these days...).

What is your favorite jazz venue in Boston?

It WAS "My House" in Quincy until the @#$%&* management shut down the Jazz Jam. Now probably Encore in the theatre district.

Who is your favorite Boston based jazz artist?

Hmmm, maybe Laszlo Gardony, or Chris Taylor, or that other guy.

What is your favorite jazz recording?

That's a tough one. There's a lot of competition.

I've loved and played jazz all my life. New to the area with more time than money and hoping to meet up with other fans and see a few great gigs.
