Jazz Nights @ ALMA with Steve Tashjian's Classic Groove November 6

On Friday, November 6, the Armenian Library and Museum of America in Watertown, MA will feature Steve Tashjian’s Classic Groove performing renditions of beloved jazz standards and balladsThe show begins at 8 p.m. in the Museum’s Contemporary Art Gallery, a unique venue where outstanding jazz and beautiful art collide.


Classic Groove features Tashjian (woodwinds), Paul Dillon (drums), Lee Lundy (bass), Gretchen Bostrom (vocals), Kevin Magarian (guitar) and Face (keyboards).  Their upcoming performance will make the group’s third appearance in the Jazz Nights series.


The series takes place on the first Friday of every month at 8 p.m..  The next concert will take place on December 4 with the Yulia Musayelyan Quartet.


Tickets are $15 each; ALMA members, JazzBoston members and students (with proper ID) pay $10.  Admission includes one complimentary glass of wine for persons 21+.  Advance reservations are encouraged and may be made by e-mailing or calling (617) 926-2562.  Reservations can also be made by purchasing tickets on ALMA’s website 


Museum doors open at 7:30 p.m., giving early arriving patrons the chance to browse ALMA’s exhibits free of charge.
