Sex, Drugs and the Great American Songbook night of cabaret

Sex, Drugs and the Great American Songbook – songs, sultriness, and psychosomatics. Join us as we begin our third year of free shows at Arts at the Armory. We bring some amazing voices together with Bill Duffy, pianist extraordinaire, and follow it up with some fun trivia to boot. The Arts at the Armory Cash bar, featuring local craft brews and light snacks, as well a fun group of people, round out the evening.

Join 10 of the most amazing vocalists in the Greater Boston region, drink craft brew and listen to the gorgeous playing of Bill Duffy, all emceed by Jennifer Lawrence (who may sing songs of a pop-country, love gone wrong persuasion).

All in all a great event!

Well, you might get sick of me saying it, but truly, it was the great audience that spurred us on.

My artistic talent lies in being a good audience member. My 2nd grade teacher, Mrs. Baron, taught me a trick so I can clap really loudly. I had a great time. Looking forward to the next one. Nothing like live entertainment . . . .

The event is free, but it has great value. Please donate generously. Remember, it would cost you $10-$12 to see a movie, an entertainment event that doesn't include live human beings making music. Live music is a great entertainment value, and it costs money to have an event like this. As Steven Karidoyanes, conductor of the Plymouth Philharmonic says, "listening to recorded music is like getting a kiss over the phone. You get an idea of what the other party is saying, but you miss out on the best part."
