Mastering Time and Space

Speaker: Jérémie Laval

French guy, Xamarin hacker, I have been in the Mono scene for a long time, working on the various open-source part of the project. These days, I'm working on improving the developer experience for Xamarin.iOS and Xamarin.Android.

Session: Mastering Time and Space

Mobile development brought a radical shift in our ways to design UIs. Instead of thinking in terms of static text and dialog boxes, we are now exploring rich data experiences where we strive to instill life into our content.

This research for life-like behavior is partially expressed on every existing mobile platforms using animations to bring a sense of movement to every things on the user screen.

In this talk, we will take a ride down the fundamentals of animation and see how our mobile development is now relating more and more to traditional animation movies, video games and classic physics.

    Hi Mike,
I am going to the Microsoft Windows Azure Developer Camp, Thursday during the Day.

I now there is a Xamarin component for Azure.
Any question I should ask or suggested readings you can think of?
I have done basic REST functionality using JSON and it works very well for an in house application.

Second Jim's comment:... Alas, for me on the "Third Thursday" I have a commitment for municipal committee work that can't be adjusted. Afraid I won't be able to make many of these.

Too bad this is the same timeslot as the Granite State (NH) Windows Phone Users Group meetup up in Salem, NH. We might have to consider making a schedule adjustment so interested folks could do both.

Hi Jim. Sorry for the conflict. I originally had the group earlier in the month, but that conflicted with another Microsoft group in Cambridge as well. There's so much happening, it's hard to avoid conflicts :)
