Founders Panel Discussion

Please join us for a panel discussion with some of the top innovators in Boston.

Panelists will include:

Steve Conine, Co-Founder, Chairman & CTO, Wayfair

This will be an engaging discussion about how and why teams and individuals start, grow and scale a technology company.

We'll be adding video interviews of our panelists as we get closer to the date.

Sponsor tables.
If you've been to one of our job fairs, you know that our sponsor tables attract a lot of activity and add to the fun of our 6PM - 7PM pizza hour. We’ll be beta testing a different approach to sponsor table pricing at our next couple of events. Sponsor tables will be available on a "pay as you can" basis. You decide the pricing. Seriously. If you have a project, company, product, idea or feature that you want to get in front of our community, you may apply for a sponsor table by emailing Matt at [masked]. You can set up a table for your company to recruit for jobs, introduce a new project, product or service or whatever. The product, service or company must be technology-related. If you are a very small company or team just getting starting, pay us what you think you can afford. If you are a larger, established company with deeper pockets, pay us what your accountants will approve. Proceeds will go towards buying better video equipment and buying food for future events. Payments for the sponsor tables should be made via our Paypal account: [masked]. Please pay by 12 noon on Thursday December 5th (day after the event). We hope that this structure can help support new projects, organizations and companies in our community. Please remember: you must first apply to reserve a sponsor table by emailing your request to [masked].

Job Board
We’ll have a job board posted on the wall in the area near the pizza. If you are hiring or looking for a job you may post your job description or your resume on the job board.

Agenda:

6:00 PM - 7:00 PM > Free Pizza
7:00 PM - 7:10 PM > Announcements
7:20 PM - 8:20 PM > Panel Discussion
8:20 - 8:50PM > Audience Q & A
9:00 PM > Beers at Champions Bar?

First PHP meet up for me and the bar has been set high! Loved the insight and anecdotes from the panelists while the facilitation kept the conversation moving right along. Kudos.

I had a question for Steve Conine that I forgot to ask. Just wondering when Wayfair.com was planning on implementing drone deliveries?

The discussion was excellent - very interesting to hear of the experiences and comments from the panel, and the topics for discussion were very well planned. The sound quality was great, too - stellar job by the team!

SocialGrow founders are seeking a PHP / Drupal Developer to help relaunch SocialGrow with a new concept focused on the socially-optimized content space.

SocialGrow was one of 5 startups chosen internationally to participate in the Microsoft Windows 7 Incubation Week, was named one of MassHighTech Five Startups to Watch, was named Microsoft Startup of the Day worldwide, and was named Five Boston Startups Killing It On Twitter by BostInnovation.

This is a “for equity” position. Email me at [masked] if you're interested.
