What more do you want from Boston PHP?

Boston PHP Members,
We are planning out the 2011 schedule for Boston PHP and I though I would ask you to help us figure out what we can do to improve our community.

Already I feel we must be doing something right as our attendance and member base have grown significantly. Still though, there is always room to improve and I'm asking you to tell us what you want next.

For the past 8 years, we have covered everything related to Web Development from: PHP, Open Source, Frameworks, Content Management, Javascript, CSS, Agile, Debugging, etc. We can certainly keep that up, but are we missing anything? Should we change anything?

Some thoughts I had were:

  • Schedule two types of meetup events one on Advanced topics and the other for Beginner topics
  • Multi meetups where we cover 3 or 4 tech topics in one meetup
  • Free food at all events
  • Round table discussions
  • Virtual events (webinars)
  • Day long tech conference
  • Move beyond PHP into other interpreted languages like Python, Ruby, ASP, Perl, Etc
  • etc

Let us know by replying to this email. Any feedback good or bad is welcome!
