I am looking forward to seeing you tonight (Wednesday Nov 9th) at the Boston PHP Job Fair and the Google Analytics for Developers presentation. We have done a lot of planning and organization to make for a great event. We have a lot of talented people attending with so many different skills and needs:

Full Time, Freelancers, Contractors, Interns, Volunteers, QA Engineers, Mobile developers, Game Developers, UI Designers, PHP/RoR/Django/Python/.NET/C#/Etc Developers, Java Developer, Javascript/jQuery Developers, Database/MySQL experts, NoSQL Experts, Wordpress/Drupal Developers, Front-end developers, UX, HTML & CSS Experts, Print and Graphic Design, Flash and Action Script developers, Information Architects, Security Experts, Startup entrepreneurs, Executives and business owners, Social media experts, Marketers, Project Managers, Scrum masters, Sales, Etc

Here are a few important details to note:

  • Don't be late - get there early (Directions and parking to MS Nerd).
  • This is a free and open event, so feel free to spread the word to your friends and colleagues. Since Microsoft takes names at the front door, anyone you invite will need to RSVP to either event prior to coming.
  • The Job Fair is from 6-7pm and the Google Analytics presentation is from 7-9pm.
  • We will be providing free drinks and pizza from 6-7pm timeframe.
  • We will give each of you a personalized name tag to help you meet and greet others. Think of a few keywords that you can write down to match you up with the right people.
  • Bring plenty of Business Cards, and practice your pitch.
  • Bring your Job Postings and post them on our wall with a photo on it (look here for sample).
  • We have six companies sponsoring the event that have hundreds of job openings - be sure to visit their booths and get yourself an interview. Thank them for sponsoring us.
  • We will allow anyone that is interested to use the microphone to talk about their jobs and/or qualifications.
  • Each attendee will get a free O'Reilly book on Google Analytics! Yep - that's right.
  • After the event, you should join us at Champions bar and grill at Kendall Square for a celebration, and more networking.

There are over 380 people already RSVP'd for these back-to-back events, so make sure you take every opportunity to learn and network with others. It would also be great if you can seek me out to introduce yourself.

I plan to see you there - it's going to be a smash!
