Just a reminder, we will be meeting at MIT's Green building (bldg. 54) tomorrow Thursday March 18th at 7PM. Meeting room is[masked]
This is a DIFFERENT building from the one we used at MIT a couple of months ago.
Here is a link to a good map of the building's location: http://whereis.mit.edu/?go=54
Please do not use the Ames Street address that is listed on the meetup site. This was the closest public street address to the building but it is not the actual site of the building. The Green building is a very tall building relative to the other buildings on the MIT campus and is easy to see from several vantage points near the campus
We will be meeting in room 54-100. This is on level "LL". It is a large auditorium space.
IMPORTANT NOTE: I visited the meeting room yesterday to check it out. To my surprise, it appears as though there are NO power outlets at the seats. We will try to accommodate power for those who need it with extension cords and power strips. We are asking everyone to please try to bring an extension cord and/or power strip if you can. We will try to make it work the best we can as this is a presentation that was designed for audience participation. Michael and I will be bringing all the extension cords and power strips that we can get our hands on but please bring one if you have one. I think it is better to have too many than not enough.
Also, you may want to make sure your laptop has a full charge prior to the event. If you can get through the presentation on battery power, that will likely make things easier.
Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow night.
