Week 14: PHP Percolate! Season 5

"If you do not change direction, you may end up where you are heading." ~ Lao Tzu

Welcome to Week 14 of PHP Percolate! Season 5, our virtual self-study group. We have now completed 13 weeks of our self-study course. Congratulations to Sara Levy the latest Season 5 graduate. As we enter the last week of regular time several others are close to finishing. A few others will probably need some overtime.
Here is our schedule for this season:

PHP Percolate! Season 5 -- Master Discussion List

Please bookmark for easy access.  Simply identify the chapter you are currently working on and click Add a reply once you are in that chapter discussion area to post your update,  question or comment.  Since  we are all members of the same team it will  be helpful if we can all pitch in  and respond to questions that  your  fellow Percolators might have.

This Week's Target

The goal for this week is to read Chapter 14, complete the exercises and post links to your work.  Two things to consider:

First,  consider reviewing the discussion area for the chapter you are about to  work on before you begin.  Others may have found some "gotchas" and checking the discussion area may save you time and a headache.

Second, definitely review the Errata for the book.  Known "gotchas" are identified here. To date only a few are listed beginning in chapter 9. If you find a problem, be sure to leave a comment on Larry's site.

This Week's Top Percolators

Chapter 14 -- Sara Levy
Chapter 13 -- Dennis Daudelin
Chapter 12 -- Ken Haduch
Chapter 12 -- Alexander Zaitsev
Chapter 11 -- Brian Marple
Chapter 11 -- Charlie Johnson
Chapter 10 -- Bob Hickey
Chapter 9 -- Nikki Snow
Chapter 8 -- Bill Sanders
Chapter 8 -- David Draper

Percolate! Coffee Clubs

Finally,  if you live in the Boston area and would like to get together with  others to chat and get help with the  assignments, please access Percolate! Coffee Clubs and post a reply. Although this site was set up for Season 4, I think it will work just fine for season 5.  Include your location and  possible meeting places and times.

Enjoy this week's journey.
