“Writing is a conversation with reading; a dialogue with thinking.” We are a group of poets* who want to join a larger conversation -- a forum where we share ideas, discussion possibilities, and support each other in the work of creative development.

As a member of The Boston Writers' Workshop, you have access to an expansive network of fellow writers. Meet up with them for group critique and literary discussion at a weekly workshop; catch up with them at one of the many readings or literary events advertised on the group calendar; or make use of the discussion forum and mailing list to keep the conversation going online. Other benefits of group membership include discounted registration fees for Summer Seminars; a refund discount for purchases made at Grolier Poetry Bookshop; and exclusive access to manuscript consultation and evaluation services.

This  Meetup group is run by the Boston Poetry Union and affiliated with its publishing project, Pen & Anvil Press. To learn more about opportunities with the Union or the Press, email the organizers.

* We call ourselves "poets" for old-fashioned reasons; but all sorts of writers are welcome to the group and at any of our events. We are a genre-non-denominational community.
