The meetup gave me a great jump start on what was just an idea for a project! What impressed me the most was the high level of help available. Python is a great community.
Many thanks to Jesse and the other organizers.

Very well organized, yet maintained a casual/fun atmosphere. I particularly liked that just enough structure was provided to get underway, but not too much that I felt bored or wasting time. Moving at my own pace was refreshing.

A very friendly environment to improve python skills, work on projects, and meet the community. (And I was impressed with how well the NERD presentation area converted into laptop table space.)
