What's the coolest thing you've done with Python?

I've made a webpage that interacts with an SQL database, to save myself a few hours of work. That was pretty cool. I've also made Asteroids and Pong, which was probably cooler.

What would you like to learn in the Python world?

I'm still a beginner - eventually, I want to know enough about Python to choose it when it's the correct tool, and I want to be able to build cool things.

Any particular areas of expertise outside of Python?

I do neuroscience research on the human visual system with fMRI - I use Matlab both to program experiments and to analyze data, and I love tinkering around with unix scripts.

Hi! I'm a current PhD student wanting to learn more about writing code.
